Do I need to be a member of SPAC or the Combe Tennis Center to take tennis lessons?

No, you do not need to be a member! You may take clinics, camps, and private lessons with no membership fee!

Where are the tennis programs located?

– School year programs are located at the Combe Tennis Center, 2311 N Campus Drive.
– Summer Camps are located at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center, 2310 Sheridan Road

What is the refund policy?

We will issue a refund up to 21 days before the start of your camp or clinic less a $50 fee. We cannot offer refunds or credits after a camp or clinic has started.

Is there a discount for NU faculty or staff?

Currently there is no discount.

What do I need to play tennis?

You should bring a tennis racquet and a water bottle and wear non-marking tennis shoes. During the outdoor months you may want to bring a hat, and make sure you or your child has plenty of sunscreen on.

What forms do I need to submit to complete the registration process?

Every player needs to submit a Waiver/Release form in order to participate in class/ camp.

What is the extended day option for summer camp?

We do not offer full day camps any longer, so do not offer a lunch option!  

What time can I drop my child off at summer camp?

You may drop your child off as early as 8:45am for a morning camp.

What if we have a rain day in the summer?

If it rains in the summer we will meet indoors at the Combe Tennis Center. If it is raining at drop off you can go straight to Combe; if you are not sure, you can always stop by the outdoor courts, and we will either have a sign posted, or a coach directing campers where to go. Camp will never be rained out!

How long will my child stay at a certain level?

Many of our classes are broken into small groups within the larger class. So your child may spend a year or more in one particular class, but may be progressing to different levels within the class.

How do I join a USTA League?

We aren’t offering any USTA leagues at the moment.
