The benefit of having an elite tennis program in your backyard? Elite coaching for you! We offer adult classes for players of all abilities. We work with you to problem solve the best way to improve your game. For some, it is revamping strokes, but for others we try to work with what you have and make it better. We get to know you as a person and a player, determining your goals and figuring out which strategy will work best for you. We offer everything from heart-pumping cardio classes to more technique-based classes, to intensely competitive classes! Whichever you choose you are sure to have fun and to learn something new!

You do not need to be a member of the facility to take group or private lessons at Northwestern.

Group Lessons

It’s never too late to learn to play tennis or to improve your game. Our group classes promise fundamentals, fitness and fun! We offer a variety of day, evening and weekend classes suited for beginners to the advanced player.

Adult Levels

Adult Beginner: For the true beginner, or someone who has been on the court but never had a formal lesson or had proper technical training. Beginnings will work toward rallying, but usually don’t have the skills to rally successfully when they join the class.

Adult Advanced Beginner: This class is for people who have played tennis casually, and can rally but not with much consistency. Advanced beginners need work on technical skills, and need work on serving, volleying, direction, and learning about spin and pace. For players 3.0 and below.

Adult Intermediate: Adult intermediate classes are more challenging and for the player who is ready to take their game to the next level. Players should be consistent from the baseline, and have a basic mastery of all the strokes. We will work on spin, pace, direction, some stroke technique, and strategy. For players 3.0 and above. Many players have had experience competing.

Adult Advanced Intermediate/Advanced: Advanced players often play on teams outside of classes. They have played tennis for years, are competitive, can move well on the court, and are often looking for refinement in one part of their game. These are challenging classes where we focus more on strategy than stroke production. For the 4.0 player and above.

Adult Cardio Tennis: A fast paced class where there is a ton of movement and lots of balls hit. There is not much technical instruction, this is more movement based and focused on hitting a lot of balls in a short amount of time!

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great way to spend individual time with a coach, working exactly on what you need to work on, and can often be the key to unlocking the potential in your game. This is a good way to go if you require a flexible schedule, or as a supplement to your group lessons.

Private lesson rates are $85 per hour for 1-2 people, and no facility membership is required. We also offer private group lessons. For more information please contact us.

Currently all private lessons are full!
